We’re in the business of connecting people to greater possibility. Each day, our skilled and dedicated team members make a difference in the lives of millions through our industry-leading products and services. Many of our team members, like the ones featured in this article, make this their mission outside of work, too.
As the saying goes: think global, act local. Our AT&T Believes® Impact Award winners took that phrase to heart and led the way with community outreach. Get to know this year’s recipients and learn a bit about their amazing volunteer efforts.
Community Leader Award
Rob Coleman, Service Representative
Nashville, TN
Rob is a three-time AT&T Believe Impact Award winner for his work with Scouting America, where he’s made a meaningful difference in the lives of many scouts. In addition to supporting scouts with disabilities and teaching valuable life skills, he also started a new Sea Scouts unit which brings that same spirit to nautical adventures, like sailing.
Last year, Rob shared how two scouts used their survival training to save their grandfather’s life. This year, Rob told us how scouting saved his life. Shortly having been named the 2025 Volunteer of the Year, Rob was diagnosed with cancer. The support of his family, scouting community, and coworkers were invaluable in getting through the difficult time. He says without the scouts, he’s not sure he would have made it.
Earlier this year, Rob announced he is cancer-free. The experience and support he received from his community has reaffirmed his passion for volunteerism. He continues to enjoy scouting alongside his daughter and encourages others to volunteer, educating coworkers about AT&T Believes opportunities and the benefits of giving back.
Community Leader Award
Mariano Cosentino, Associate Director – Technology
San Isidro, Argentina
Mariano holds many titles. Manager. Teacher. Two-time Impact Award winner including the 2024 Volunteer of the Year. The title that means the most to him, though, is Scout Leader.
Mariano loves to get out into nature and share his passion with the next generation. There’s no shortage of fun, from camping trips to art projects. He also teaches responsibility and valuable skills like first aid.
Mariano likes to say that in Scouts, the classroom is nature, the blackboard is the sky, and the homework is very simple: try to leave the world a bit better than you found it. He carries that philosophy with him at work and when he helps out in his local community beyond Scouts.
Mariano’s advice, “You don’t need to do huge things to make a difference. Start small, close to home, and encourage others to do it with you. You’ll be well on your way to making a difference.”
Employee-led Giving Program Award
Shauna Crisp, Associate Director – Training Delivery
Greensboro, NC
Many organizations that support communities in need rely on donations to keep their mission going. This year’s recipient of the Employee-led Giving Program Award helped raise funds for the Wounded Warriors Project, Inc. to support Veterans.
Shauna also organized several Veterans-focused events like bingo and trivia nights. For the holidays, she led a holiday card drive which helped bring warmth to Veterans who needed it during the coldest time of the year.
In addition to her work with Veterans, Shauna is the co-lead of her business unit’s community engagement efforts keeping her team up-to-date on the latest volunteer opportunities and organize volunteer days of their own.
Community Leader Award
Susan O’Day, Principal Release Train Engineer
Plano, TX
Receiving her second AT&T Believes Impact Award, Susan O’Day started her own non-profit, Kittenville. Did you know the most vulnerable population in an animal shelter are newborn kittens? Kittens under eight-weeks old are not yet adoptable, have immature immune systems, and are unable to eat without help from their mom. Shelters often struggle to meet these specific needs.
Through Kittenville, Susan fosters these young kittens to give them the love and care they need. She also helps others get involved in fostering and facilitate adoptions. The work calls for a lot of paperwork, scheduling, medical authorization, and training. It’s also a lot of fun bringing these adorable furballs to new homes.
If you’re feeling inspired but don’t know if starting a non-profit is your speed, Susan reiterates that Kittenville wouldn’t be possible without volunteers, “Simply going to your local shelter and offering your support as a foster is a great way to help these kittens in need.”
Digital Divide Leader Award
Peter Tobolka, Associate Director – Sales Support
Bratislava, Slovak Republic
Peter is driven by a passion to help wherever he can be of service. No matter how big or small, any act of giving can make a huge difference.
Peter regularly volunteers, helping with a local group that serves the families of children with disabilities. His volunteer duties typically include logistics like deliveries and event support. For every volunteer hour he tracks, he earns Volunteer Rewards from AT&T Believes that he donates to Junior Achievement, an organization helping youth prepare for the future and setting them up for success.
It’s a perfect example of how simple, practical actions can be used to great effect.
Environmental Leader Award
Ansley Yarbrough, Senior Network Technology Engineer
Hoover, AL
Volunteering has been near and dear to Ansley since she was a little girl. Her love of giving back is something that she wants to share with the world.
Over the past year, Ansley has organized multiple volunteering events for her office and encouraged over 100 of her coworkers to get involved. Many of these events shared a common theme: environmental stewardship.
The Human I-T e-waste drive asked employees to bring in their old devices so that they could be properly recycled or, if they were in working condition, be donated to families without reliable devices. She also organized river clean-ups and a charity walk that promoted personal wellness while raising funds for environmental causes.
Beyond her environmental work, she also organized local school supply and toy drives for her office. Through all these efforts, she spread the joy she feels from volunteering to her coworkers and made an even bigger impact.
Congratulations to each of our winners. We thank you for your commitment to our mission and making the world a better place. With passion and dedication, anything is possible – your efforts prove that.
