As we near the end of 2024, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the incredible milestones of the past year – and what a recruiting season it has been!
We’ve been bustling with activity. Connecting with numerous students both in person and virtually has been a delightful experience. Let’s revisit some standout events that made this recruiting season extraordinary!
Connecting with Students
One of the highlights was the AT&T Day Atlanta Office Tour, where students interested in our B2B Sales and Technology Development programs got a firsthand look at what makes our Atlanta office a hub of innovation. Various leaders from our programs engaged with students, shared insights, and showcased the dynamic environment of our office.
Such enriching events wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated early careers team, to whom we are immensely grateful! They have been hard at work hosting several engaging events at our Dallas headquarters, too.
These events provided students with a unique opportunity to meet our team, learn about our company culture, and explore the various career paths we offer. From interactive workshops to networking mixers, our headquarters buzzed with energy as students connected with mentors and peers, gaining valuable insights into their future careers.
Our recruitment team also took to the road, visiting numerous universities near our HQ locations. These campus visits allowed us to bring our message directly to students. By participating in career fairs, hosting on-campus info sessions, and collaborating with university career centers, we were able to build strong relationships with students and faculty alike.
Celebrating Inclusivity
In our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment, we were especially proud to host several events at our Dallas headquarters specifically for students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). These events provided a platform for HBCU students to network with our team, participate in skill-building workshops, and gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities available at AT&T.
Our recruitment team extended their reach by visiting numerous HBCU campuses, ensuring that we engage with a wide range of talented students. Through these on-campus events, we were able to create meaningful connections, offer career guidance, and support the professional growth of future leaders from these esteemed institutions.
Our team participated in several national conferences, as well, including the National Black MBA Association Conference, the Society of Women Engineers Conference, and the Veterans MBA Conference. By attending these conferences, we were able to engage with exceptional candidates who bring unique perspectives and skills to our organization.
Going Virtually Everywhere
This year, our recruitment team also hosted several online events, ensuring we could reach students regardless of location. We hosted several virtual information workshops and sessions, providing students with valuable insights into our company and career opportunities. One of our marquee events was the AT&T Technology Academy.
The Academy featured live webinars and comprehensive learning modules designed to enhance students’ technology and professional skills and prepare them for the AT&T Technology Development Program. This academy provided participants with materials developed by AT&T University and direct interaction with our technology experts, making it an invaluable resource for aspiring tech professionals.
We also held our second annual AT&T Virtual Career Fair. This event allowed participants to engage with our recruiters and program alumni and explore various career paths within our organization from the comfort of their own homes. The virtual career fair was a resounding success, offering a seamless and interactive platform for students to connect with us and learn more about the exciting opportunities at AT&T.
Looking Back, Planning Ahead
Reflecting on this year, we are filled with pride and gratitude. Each interaction we’ve had has left a lasting impression. The energy and enthusiasm from students, the unwavering support from our partners, and the hard work of our team have all contributed to our success. It’s clear that connection changes everything and connecting with YOU has truly been the highlight of our year.
